A few days ago I posted something about the circulating
FedEx Notice Email in which the alleged message from
FedEx tells you something about an arriving package and you should download the attached .zip file to know more about it. Well, it seems that these "FedEx" guys shifted their delivery service to
UPS, or
United Parcel Service. Why do I think they're the same guys? It's because the message both mails contain remain essentially unchanged. The only thing that changed was the
FedEx to
United Parcel Service of America. Read the verbatim trojan/scam message below:
Dear customer.
The parcel was sent your home address.
And it will arrive within 3 business day.
More information and the tracking number are attached in document below.
Thank you.

Like I said in my previous post about the
FedEx email, this message likely contains trojans or malware that will zombify your computer. If you see any "notification message" from
FedEx or
UPS and you have no delivery coming, DELETE IT IMMEDIATELY. Better to be safe than sorry.
'Till my next installment.

This is funny, I ordered nothing yet I was notified 12 times that i have something to received. I did not open the pdf file, I'm currious, it might have some dangerous virus that will soon destroy my unit. Thanks, I'eve got to your web. Can you help the users to please verify who is behind of these scam so that they will be funished according to your law?
ReplyDeleteThank you very much. I also received an email saying the same thing. I will spread the word to friends and family. Again thanks.
ReplyDeleteGood for you people. Always be vigilant with these types of email. Criminals involved with fraud are getting smarter and smarter. They'll send you anything from Amazon to Warcraft emails claiming anything. Also remember where you enter your email addresses because internet bots harvest that and send them to the hacker's computer.
ReplyDeleteAs to the FBI, I think this should be first reported to UPS. But maybe they'll tackle this case too since it involves fraud and gathering of private information.
I received this same email, Yahoo's Norton Anti Virus didn't pick up on any virus's. So I attempted to open it, it displayed as total B.S. comp. jargon so I deleted it all immediately, having an Apple computer is pretty much the only way to go, as those criminal types can't or don't want to bother with trying to write code that will work for their purposes. Apple keeps me safe so far.
ReplyDeletethanks for this post i recieved an email today and i do have packages on the way i was so close to opening it. but then i saw this i wish there was a way to report this. Or i would have been in trouble...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the post. I got one from UPS however Norton Anti Virus did not let it open. Mean People Suck!

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these information. I have just received the same email from UPS. thankfully I have antivirus on my comp and its hows that the message contains virus.
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing these info. coz i do believe many of our countrymen will be vigilant enough not to be a victim of this black propaganda. Hell to those people who are bulshit enough in doing animalistic.

ReplyDeleteall of that happened to us, just like you said...but they went a step farther and put an info notice on our door, too. It looked real, but after making calls, found out it's not. BEWARE, people! Thanks TJ, for posting this warning
ReplyDeleteHi All,
ReplyDeleteRun the raw source of the email through spam cop.
This gives abuse email addresses for hosting isp and mail server.
Email them with this filth attached. Be abusive. It is their poor security and willingness to take the business of the Russian scum spammers which is the underlying reason we're all getting these emails. The Australian government has a good submission site for spam: I'm sure the FBI does as well. Forward it on, or nothing will be done.
Fight these mongrels today!!
Hairy Aussie
It's al-qaeda being the annoying little mosquito it is.
