Apple iPhone 3GS Re-Enters Local Market, Sells for P14,990

Looking for something older and cheaper that still has power and carries the prestigious Apple brand? Look no more, the Apple iPhone 3GS is back in stores.

Introduced in 2009, the iPhone 3GS is an 600MHz device that's powered by the ARM Cortex-8 chip. This three-year-old product is not as powerful as today's dual-core and quad-core smartphones I'll give you that, but it still does the job plenty. What's more, Apple included the iPhone 3GS on its iOS 6 update, meaning you'll still be able to enjoy all the benefits of iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S owners.

On the downside, the iPhone 3GS lacks the computing power, photo quality, and autofocus camera feature of its successors. That and the sexier features of the iPhone 4/4S gives the 3GS a dated feel.

But don't fret: The iPhone 3GS can more than handle your daily dose of Temple Run and Instagram. Not to mention it can handle a lot of your tunes through iTunes.

The 2012 version of the iPhone 3GS comes with 8GB of storage, is factory-unlocked (any network ready), is loaded with the iOS 5, and is covered by a 12-month official Apple warranty. All this for P14,990.

If you still fancy having the iPhone 3GS around, it's available at the following stores: Alliance Ventures/ MemoXpress, Bluelite, Tekpone Communications, CMK Cellphones, Techno Mobile, Mobile World, Kodak Express Shops, Fortcoms Enterprises, Graphic All in One, RC Goldline Sale Shop, and Mobile 19.

More shops will be carrying the iPhone 3GS in the coming weeks.

'Till my next installment.
