Relative to the competition, the iPad Mini looks like an at-par machine priced at a premium. Sure it has a bigger screen and a 5MP "HD" rear camera, but other tablets at the 7-inch department have it behind in some critical specs and in pricing. But as some people are saying, it's not supposed to be a cheaper tablet. It's a cheaper iPad.

The iPad Mini is reportedly going on sale on 11/2 in the U.S. We're expecting it'll hit Philippine shores by early 2013, or even earlier, although through unofficial channels (see: online stores).
In the price department, we're estimating the cheapest iPad Mini, the 16GB WiFi-only model, to sell at around P16,000.00. We still have brand-new iPad 2s floating around for P18,000.00, so pricing it the same as a 10-inch pad would be counterintuitive.
While there would be plenty of arguments and counter-arguments with regards to the iPad Mini and the competition, one thing is for sure: It's going to sell.
If you have the chance to buy the new iPad Mini, would you?
