It's no secret that Kingston has been making external storage devices round the clock last year. They've produced quick-data drives, small(est) flash drives, and the like. So it was no surprise to hear Kingston's 1-terabyte flash drive announcement today at the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show.
The Kingston DataTraveler HyperX Predator is the world's first USB 3.0 1-terabyte flash drive, boasting speeds of 240MB/s read, 160MB/s write, and a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 cerification. It's arguably also one of the world's best looking portable storage device, sporting a zinc alloy metal casing for durability and high-end design.
The Kingston DataTraveler HyperX Predator also comes at a 512GB variant, and is now shipping at a mind-blowing $1,750 (approximately PHP70,000). The 1TB DTHX Predator's pricing remains unannounced.
If this hits Philippine shores, great. But it should be more of a display piece. You'll definitely cry a river if you happen to lose one of these.
