Alcatel Unveils One Touch Idol X, Sports 1080p Display

Alcatel has once again managed to ruffle the feathers of competitors with the reveal of its One Touch Idol X at the 2013 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

After going all out at last month's Consumer Electronics Show with their Idol Ultra and Scribe HD (plus the Pop line of budget phones), the company continues with the One Touch Idol X, a 5-inch Full HD device that runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.2 It flaunts a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor, 2 gigs of RAM, 16 gigs of internal storage, an 8-megapixel camera, and a 2,000mAh battery. It's also coming with a microSD slot, because really, there's never enough memory in the world.

The Alcatel One Touch Idol X  probably wouldn't sport LTE capabilities, though there could be an LTE version. The Idol X would also apparently have a dual-SIM version in the near future, albeit having the microSD slot removed (to make room for a second SIM presumably).

The One Touch Idol X will come in a varierty of colors including black, yellow, red, cyan, green and magenta.
