Cherry Mobile Unleashes Ultra-Affordable 7-inch Fusion Bolt Quad-Core Tablet

The nation's leading local mobile brand Cherry Mobile, has again shattered expectations with the release of the Fusion Bolt, a 7-inch quad-core 4.1 Jelly Bean tablet that has an unbelievable price tag of P3,999.

The Cherry Mobile Fusion Bolt was teased to us last week and it turns out that it's really a Ainol Novo 7 Venus-based tablet, though some key specs were changed: The Fusion Bolt sports a 1GHz quad-core processor instead of a 1.5GHz x 4 and has a reduced capacity of 8GB instead of 16GB (not that it matters significantly, since there's a microSD slot anyway).

The Cherry Mobile Fusion Bolt also comes equipped with a 7-inch HD IPS display with a 1280x800 resolution, a 4000mAh battery, a 2-megapixel rear camera, and a 0.3-megapixel front camera (the same as the PlayStation Vita). This is also one of the tablets, if not the only one, that has a front and rear snapper.

Sadly, the Fusion Bolt doesn't have any built-in Bluetooth or 3G connectivity. It does have WiFi though, so make use of those dongles at home.

At P3,999, the Cherry Mobile Fusion Bolt hits the sweet spot: It's well-built, it's quad-core, it has a great battery rating, and it has a significantly smaller price tag than other tablets in its size range.

The Cherry Mobile Fusion Bolt will be released in March 2013. Stay tuned for our review soon.
