Remember the Tamagotchi pets we had when we were kids? Yep, those pixel monsters that demand your attention are back. This time though, they've invaded your mobile devices as an app. Enter Tamagotchi Life.
It's been a long time coming, but I expected Tamagotchi Life to hit mobile devices sooner than later, but I digress. The mechanics remain simple: Hatch an egg, take care of it, and repeat. At least that's what I did in the 90s anyway. It also has a couple of updated features, such as an "app mode" and "toy mode", Facebook sharing, and collectible wallpapers. Best of all, it's free for everyone to download and enjoy.
But wait, there's more.
Sadly, Tamagotchi Life is currently incompatible with mobile devices located in the Philippines (compatibility seems to be limited only to North America). If you do know how to go around the loops, you'll be playing with your new best friend in a couple of minutes. We're hoping for an international release though.
Tamagotchi Life is now available at the Google Play Store for Android 2.3 and above, with iOS to follow soon.
How about Digimon, anyone?
