Cherry Mobile — in yet another first in the local mobile industry — unleashed the first-ever local quad-core in the Philippines, the Cherry Mobile Flame 2.0. This device is testament to how big the company has developed in such a short timespan.
The Cherry Mobile Flame 2.0 is an Android 4.1.2 device with a speedy 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8225Q Snapdragon S4 processor (yes, you read that right), 1GB RAM and a 4.5-inch qHD IPS display. Whatever angle you look at it, the Cherry Mobile Flame 2.0 is supposed to be a winner, if not for the battery. You see, the device runs on a 1,600mAh Li-ion. On a regular 1GHz dual-core device, sure it'll last you 8 hours, possibly more. But on a quad-core? Don't get me wrong though: this is, after all, still one great device.
