Cherry Mobile Omega HD Confirmed, May Sport Better Display

The much-rumored Cherry Mobile Omega HD exists. And the first solid lead we have—straight from the brand itself—has surfaced through the form of an invite.

But how do we know it's the Omega HD? Look at the white-ish text at the back (it spells Omega by the way), then the flush HD lettering at the side. Put one and one together and you got Cherry Mobile's possibly latest flagship.

Back in 2012, issues arose with regards to the Cherry Mobile Omega. If we're half-correct, the initial Omega was scratched (possibly due to pricing and availability issues), replaced with what we have now, and with the Omega HD ending up as another totally different device from the rest.

We've also seen a couple of leaks suggesting that the Cherry Mobile Omega HD is actually the Xolo A1000, a relatively new device from India. And again, if we're even half-correct, this device should sport a dual-core processor, a 2100mAh battery, 1GB of RAM, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and a 5-inch 720p display.

With regards to pricing, we've estimated that this may cost from as low as P7,990 to as high as P8,999. (it's important to note that Cherry Mobile's pricing scheme rise up by increments of five hundred to a thousand, with the Titan TV being priced at P6,999, the Omega at P6,699, the Blaze and Titan at P6,499, the Skyfire at P5,999, and the Flare and Burst at P3,999.

Let's wait for the official announcement on Monday, March 18, 2013, just a couple of days away from the Samsung Galaxy S IV launch.
