The Philippines' leading local mobile brand Cherry Mobile has outed another teaser poster of what seems to be coming in the near future: A 4.1 Jelly Bean OS update to the Cherry Mobile Flare.
Also identified as the "Dual-Core ng Bayan", the Cherry Mobile Flare was 2012's best-selling smartphone, setting and breaking records at the same time (it was selling so fast the company weren't able to keep up with demand). The device currently still is running 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but as mentioned above chances are high that it's going to receive Jelly Bean soon.

If you'll recally, the Cherry Mobile Titan earlier received the JB OS upgrade through service centers. We fully expect that the Flare will undergo the same process.
To date, the Cherry Mobile Flare is still the cheapest dual-core smartphone around, clocking in at P3,999. And if and when its Jelly Bean upgrade comes, it's also going to be the cheapest 4.1 Jelly Bean smartphone out there.
Let's wait for word regarding the upgrade. Bookmark this post.
