Western Digital recently unveiled the WD Blue, a 2.5-inch long, 7mm thick high capacity hard drive at Computex 2013. It was also introduced as the world's thinnest 1 TB hard drive.
With the WD Blue, some manufacturing limitations and "super-slim solutions" will now be achievable, thanks to the device's super thin profile, without sacrificing data capacity.
Aside from its high capacity and very slim profile, the WD Blue also sports multiple wear-and-tear protection features, such as a shock-tolerance mechanism called ShockGuard that protects the drive and platter from shocks.
The 1 TB Western Digital Blue hard drive is now on sale for P6,990 (MSRP) through selected distributors and resellers and is covered by a two-year limited warranty.
