Mobile handset manufacturers can't get enough of the lower end of the mobile market. It seems then that Alcatel also wants a slice of the entry-level dual-core pie with their recent introduction of the Alcatel One Touch Magic.
The Alcatel One Touch Magic is a 4-inch Android 4.2 Jelly Bean device that sports a 1.3GHz dual-core processor, a 3.2-megapixel camera, and a 1300 mAh battery. One thing that differentiates the One Touch Magic from its competitors is its MT6572 SoC—the "world’s first dual-core SoC with integrated Wi-Fi, FM, GPS and Bluetooth functions targeted at the entry segment." It "also also integrates MediaTek’s advanced multi-mode Rel. 8 HSPA+/TD-SCDMA modem, 3D Graphics, support for up to HD 720p video playback and record, 5MP camera and up to qHD (960x540) displays."
