Cherry Mobile M1 Announced, Helio X20 Processor, 4GB RAM in Tow for PHP 11,999

Local mobile titan Cherry Mobile has announced this afternoon the Philippines' first Helio X20 deca-core smartphone, the Cherry Mobile M1. Not to be confused with the same name feature phone from Cherry Mobile Myanmar, the Cherry Mobile M1 also boasts 4GB of RAM, a 21-megapixel Sony IMX230 sensor, Android Marshmallow 6.0 out of the box, and a USB Type-C port—another nation-first from the company.

Other specifications also include a 5.5-inch FHD display, LTE connectivity, a 3600mAh battery (which the company claims can be fully charged in an hour or so), and a fingerprint scanner. Unfortunately, the onboard storage is nailed at 32GB.

On a side note, the arrival of the M1 signals a new suite of local premium smartphones to follow in the coming months, which may or may not be more expensive than this device.

The Cherry Mobile M1 comes in black and white colors and will go on sale for PHP 11,999
