HTC One Max Announced, Features 5.9" 1080p Display, Snapdragon 600, and Fingerprint Scanner

Taiwanese mobile manufacturer HTC announced the HTC One Max, the latest installment in the company's One series of smartphones earlier today. It boasts a 5.9-inch 1080p display, a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, an Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and a rather poorly-placed fingerprint sensor at the back of device.

The above aside, much has been retained of the original HTC One. The HTC One Max still features the same aluminum body, a 4-megapixel Ultrapixel camera (sans the OIS feature), a microSD slot, and a 3300 mAh non-removable battery. Lastly, the HTC One Max will run Android 4.3 out of the box.

HTC One Max Specs Price Release Date

The HTC One Max will see a release on Asian and European markets before the week ends, with the US following closely next year on select carriers. The device's pricing is yet to be revealed.

If you'll recall, Samsung earlier released the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, a 5.7-inch top-tier device with only a major specs bump and a faux stitched leather back to boast on top of its existing offerings. These two phablets will likely go head to head this holiday season.
